This paper questions the historiography of the sympathizing organization the League against Imperialism LAI by focusing the discussion on relevant facts and factors essential for a general understanding of the history of the LAI and its legacy.

The LAI is without hestiance typical of the above. The paper includes a concise outline on the history of the LAI, and concludes its discussion with a critical assessement that questions nostalgia as a framework to produce and install historical knowledge.
